CLASSICAL Format Part II

Whatever their individual successes, and in stark contrast to the impressive support infrastructure that has blossomed around the news-and-information format in public media, classical stations have largely gone it alone, with few opportunities to share knowledge, content, or resources. But is that a problem of supply – or of demand?  We’ll continue the conversation begun the day before about charting a new course of communication in the classical arena, touching both “big picture” strategy and advocacy, as well as on nut-and-bolts issues as audience and programming research, digital rights-and-asset management, and best practices in such areas as fundraising, marketing, and community engagement.
