This year's meeting will center on a discussion of current issues for news and information stations in all sizes of markets. We'll share efforts underway at your stations and, In light of so many stations making changes in middays, trends in that daypart.  The meeting includes some presentations including the following, with ample time for discussion throughout.

1) An update from RRC on current audience trends. Five years ago SRG and CPB challenged the public radio system to grow the audience on all platforms, especially radio, for which listening was flat after many years of growth.  Now that we are through the transition to PPM, how are we doing? Are we growing the audience?  Discussion will follow.

2)  Two of the top system researchers will give an update on how the latest, PPM-informed knowledge enhances our understanding of listener behavior.  With 3 full years of PPM in most major markets we can now more precisely see how listening  actually works, especially in listening occasions and durations. They'll provide insight into how Program & Content Directors, can use this knowledge to better serve our listeners. we'll particularly look at listening patterns in that depart. Again, discussion following.

Be on time as there's lots to cover!
