Bryan Lowe has served as program director of Classical KING FM 98.1 since 2005. Before coming to KING FM in 1979 as an on-air host, Lowe worked at commercials stations in the rock, country, jazz and easy listening formats. In addition to his work at KING FM as an announcer, Lowe served as concert broadcast host for Seattle Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle Chamber Music Festival, and others. Recently, Lowe has played an instrumental role in KING FM’s early involvement in online broadcasting. He created four online and HD channels featuring opera, full length symphonic music, light classical, and arts talk, in addition to a new online channel featuring specific formats including piano, choral, and movie music. His work has been recognized with the first Streamers Award for excellence in Internet broadcast and a 2013 Gracie Award for the
Exploring Music program, which he created. Lowe holds a BA from Washington State University and a masters in teaching from City University.
