Senior Editor
David Krasnow has been the senior editor of Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen since 2006. He joined the staff after many years in print media as an editor and writer, covering music, design, American history, land use, science, and health care. He has written for Artforum, The Village Voice, Jazz Times, Metropolis, The New York Observer, The Wire, and other publications, and remains a contributing editor for Bomb. He taught radio writing at Mediabistro and has discussed how to pitch features at the Third Coast International Audio Festival and the Transom Story Workshop. He serves as the editor of Studio 360’s Peabody Award-winning series American Icons, and has produced stories for that series on the folk ballad “John Henry,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Star-Spangled Banner,” and Andy Warhol’s soup cans. He was first on air on WESU, Middletown, at the age of 17.
